December 10, 2021, Kenosha, Wisconsin– Craving a cup of jo while studying in the library? Students at the University of Wisconsin Parkside can now visit the Book & Brew that recently opened in the university’s library providing a convenient option to fuel learning with their favorite beverage or snack.
The construction of the new coffee bar was part of the library’s renovation to support student expanded needs. The coffee bar is operated by Aladdin Campus Dining, the university’s dining partner since 2016. Students can select from a cup of coffee, espresso and lattes, while bottled beverages can also be purchased from a “help yourself” stand up cooler, as well as grab-and-go food selections.
According to Amy Parton, Aladdin marketing manager, the Book & Brew is a welcoming addition to the coffee bar. “The Book & Brew offers healthy salads, sandwiches, cheese, yogurt, and even sushi! We want to make eating on the run easy, and more importantly, provide selections that are nutritious for the University of Wisconsin Parkside student body!”
Students can also dine in the coffee bar where ample seating provides for up to 50 guests to take a break and enjoy. Hours of operation are from Monday through Thursday, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Aladdin also operates other retail cafes on the University of Wisconsin Parkside campus, including The Encore and Wyllie Market.
