With a proven record of success in increasing board plan participation and retail dining opportunities, Aladdin Campus Dining was proudly selected as the new dining services partner for Purdue University Northwest’s Hammond, Ind., campus. Services began on July 1st.
Purdue Northwest students will enjoy Aladdin’s exciting signature brands in Pride Café including WeBurg, Sub Stand, DaBrix, and Chilaca! A modern throwback to the American roadside grill, WeBurg features classic burgers or cheeseburgers including the all-American, jalapeno BBQ, steakhouse burger, and the grilled or crispy chicken sandwich – all prepared with fresh ground beef or chicken on a brioche bun.
Sub Stand, made-to-order deli sandwiches, and wraps. Chilaca, a fast-casual Mexican brand, serves tacos, burritos, and bowls topped with their choice of fresh proteins and vegetables for lunch and dinner. Dabrix, pizza prepared with homemade dough and served by the slice!
To complement the Pride Café, Aladdin will feature Grains and Greens, an expansive salad bar with grain bowl options, and A-Zone, to accommodate allergen-free friendly meals!
Student-athletes will also benefit from Aladdin’s Fueled, a new value-added sports nutrition program developed by a team of registered dietitian nutritionists.
At Leo’s Marketplace, Aladdin will manage and create an inviting space for students to grab a quick Starbucks beverage or sit and enjoy a salad or sandwich. Aladdin proudly serves Starbucks, coffee made the way you like it with your favorite espresso drinks hot or iced, blended coffee, macchiato, and tea. A micro market will also sell Aladdin’s Tryon Market grab-and-go and Aladdin’s Box’d Chef, which are delicious take-home meal kits.
“We look forward to expanding our services to Purdue Northwest, providing students, faculty, and guests with a well-focused dining experience,” says Greg Rich, Aladdin Vice President of Operations. This will be the second university that Aladdin manages dining for within the Purdue education system. Aladdin Campus Dining has been in a successful partnership with Purdue University Fort Wayne as their food service provider since July of 2020.
According to Jennifer Wood, Director of Procurement and Auxiliary Services at Purdue University Northwest, “We selected Aladdin based on their commitment to quality food and services. We are excited about this new partnership and look forward to Aladdin’s innovation, engaging students and faculty with a well-focused dining experience.”
Aladdin’s highly qualified team brings culinary and nutrition innovation to the Purdue Northwest Hammond campus, and more importantly, Aladdin is transparent concerning its operations. “Aladdin’s reputation in partnering with other universities is excellent. It is important to PNW to work with providers who have consistent and clear communication and help control prices to our students, especially in this time of rising costs in food and services. We anticipate Aladdin will bring a focus on providing healthy and delicious menu items to our students, faculty, and staff,” Ms. Wood adds.
