FORT WAYNE, Ind. – April 27, 2020 – Aladdin, a member of the Elior North America family of culinary management companies, was awarded the food and beverage contract at Purdue University Fort Wayne in Fort Wayne, Indiana. As the new dining services partner, Aladdin will begin services on July 1, 2020, where the culinary team will offer local and national brands that students know and enjoy. Aladdin will also enhance the culinary experience through their catering and concessions expertise, creating exciting dining destinations featuring freshly prepared food.
Upon returning to school in the fall, students will enjoy a robust voluntary meal plan program. By participating in the program, students can select from oven-baked pizza from Dabrix Pizza, gourmet burgers and other favorites from Mastadon Grill, Sub Stand Deli and Good to Go grab-and-go program. Aladdin’s Season Harvest, a plant-based program, will feature scratch-made options using fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains to accommodate vegetarian and vegan lifestyles.
Greg Lepore, client partnership director at Aladdin, said, “Aladdin is well known for its freshly prepared food and diverse meal plan choices to accommodate the needs of students. Our strong local partnerships, coupled with an entrepreneurial on-site management approach, allows flexibility and collaboration within the communities we serve.”
Aladdin will also offer allergen-friendly culinary options and freshly baked treats.
“We use menu software to specify the nutritional value of ingredients and recipes to assist people with food allergies or specific dietary lifestyles. This information is linked to our digital signage which posts information in real time so that students, faculty and guests are best informed,” said Lepore.
Aladdin will also combine its culinary expertise with favorite quick-service brands. To accommodate both the commuter and residential student populations, Aladdin will offer Starbucks “We Proudly Serve” and Einstein’s bagel shop.
Aladdin’s professional catering – everything from campus celebrations to small faculty meetings and student gatherings – will provide an exciting addition to campus dining.
