The City College of New York in Harlem, NY, one of the 25 colleges within the City University of New York (CUNY) higher education system, was proud to partner with Aladdin Campus Dining where a recent ribbon cutting celebration officially opened the Benny’s Lodge Food Court in the North Academic Student Center.
This is the third dining partnership for Aladdin in the CUNY system, the nation’s largest urban public university. Earlier this year, Aladdin was selected by CUNY, where through a joint contract with the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the CUNY Graduate Center, Aladdin successfully provides culinary, dining and professional catering experiences.
“Aladdin’s ideas create welcoming dining environments and diverse brands that engage our students! We are super excited about the new partnership and welcoming hospitality program to be enjoyed by both the campus family and our community,” says Jason Wallace, Executive Director Auxiliary Enterprise Corp.
Aladdin offers a diverse food portfolio including Citizen Chicken, a concept that students can select from high-quality and plant-based chicken sandwiches, Nashville hot sandwiches, chicken BLTs and chicken and waffles served with fries. Students also enjoy Uptown Sams, a modern-day deli starring super-fresh ingredients with unique flavor combination and Grains and Greens, an expansive salad bar with grain bowls as well as fresh grab-and-go options.
Thank you to onsite leadership Food Service Director Lauren Scocozza and to our catering team who created an outstanding menu for the celebration: District Executive Chef Sandra Echavez; Executive Chef Terrell Sheard; Executive Chef Johangel Rosario and Catering Chef Banessa Moran.
