New Cafe 365 Transforms to Evening Bar and Lounge in CUNY Graduate Center

Café 365 recently opened in the CUNY Graduate Center with a new look!   Students can visit during the day for on-the-go meals, and in the evening, transforms to an upscale lounge and full bar serving 21-and-over guests.   The bar is fully stocked with the finest spirits and top-notch ingredients that appeal to traditionalists who desire timeless cocktails, to guests who enjoy new takes on classic drinks! Running specials every day, such as a daily $2 off Happy Hour, the bar is currently running a Frozen Winter Café, blending coffee elements from their café and seasonal liqueurs.

“It’s a great spot to relax at the end of the day and socialize with other graduate students while enjoying a cocktail,” says Aladdin District Manager Chris Cleveland.  Aladdin also serves its diversified brand portfolio in the Graduate Center’s Dining Commons including Street Foods and international cuisine.

At the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, John Jay’s Lil J’s Café opened to the public after a transformation to a full-service licensed Starbucks, ranked nationally in the top three most popular restaurant chains among college students.  John Jay also serves Aladdin-branded concepts including Citizen Chicken, which offers plant-based and Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, and Dabrix freshly prepared stromboli’s, calzones, pasta and pizza by the slice.

The City University of New York (CUNY) is Aladdin’s first dining partnership which was announced in early 2024.  Through a joint contract with the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and the CUNY Graduate Center, Aladdin provides culinary, dining and professional catering experiences. The City College of New York in Harlem also selected Aladdin, its third dining partnership in the CUNY higher education system.

“Aladdin Campus Dining was recommended by Cornell Tech’s facilities operations, a graduate campus of Cornell University, that is served by Aladdin’s sister company Constellation.  We were extremely impressed with Aladdin’s culinary services and the creative resources they bring to the table.  Their team will exceed our guests’ expectation from everyday nourishing food options to dedicated catering directors on both campuses,” says Mark Flower, John Jay Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
