You don’t have to visit Germany to enjoy an Oktoberfest celebration! Authentic German foods and traditions are now at Alvernia University in Reading, PA!
The Aladdin culinary team recently prepared a feast for students, faculty and staff. According to Matt Lykens, Aladdin executive chef, traditional foods were created, including a live action cooking station where Aladdin chefs pan sauteed herb spätzle featuring caramelized onions and braised pork belly!
Guests also indulged in other German favorites!
- Beer Infused Bratwurst with Roasted Peppers and Onions
- Sauerbraten with Raisin Sauce and Classic Pork Schnitzel served with Warm German Potato Salad, Braised Red Cabbage and Egg Noodles
- German Pretzel Bites and Bavarian Cream with Berries for dessert!
